The cards are assigned a specific point value, with the Ace being the highest at 11 points, followed by 7 at 10 points (known as "manilha" in Portuguese), K at 4 points, J at 3 points, Q at 2 points, and the rest of the cards at 0 points.

In Sueca, the player who wins a trick takes the total value of the cards in that trick. The highest card in the trump suit always wins.
