App Store Description

What's SummUpp?
SummUpp app is a rental negotiation platform where a person can anonymously request the owner/lessor/tenant to lower the rent. The owner/tenant/lessor has the final say whether they accepts lowering the rent at a certain amount or decline the request. Users are allowed to ask the owner/lessor/tenant to lower the rent again once they has replied to you previous request.

If a tenant accepts lowering the sublease's rent, the tenant has to either pay the difference to the new tenant or pay the portion to the landlord as part of a present or future rent.

Who benefits the most from the app?
Mostly students who leave their apartments empty during summer and look for a person to takeover the lease while he/she absences. In most cases, students pay the rent while they are not, technically, living in their apartments. Because they have a year contract. With SummUpp, students can pay a portion of the rent and have another person subleases/temporary takeovers for number of months.

Interns also benefit great deal out of SummUpp. Internships usually last for couple months and then returns back to school in most case for students attending college. An intern search for a short period lease and an affordable rent. SummUpp presents this service through negotiating the presented rent by one click.

How to use SummUpp?
Search for the city and/or state, in the search tab, that you want to stay in, and then either call the place you like or negotiate. Negotiation the rent is easily to do by just clicking the place and then a brief detail of the place shows. Save and Down buttons are at the end of the detail. Click Down and you can check the status of the negotiation in the request tab. The status could be "Decline" which simply means the tenant is not willing to reduce the current rent. "Accept" means the tenant reduced the rent. You could check how many times the tenant/owner/lessor lowered the rent and what it is the initial price. All that you can find by either clicking info after the apartment expands in the search tab, or while you are at the request tab click the requested apartment and more information will show up including one picture and map.

You can contact the tenant/lessor/owner through email or phone number, and they can be found in the info button or in the requested apartments by clicking the property you are interested in.

Save tab shows the saved apartments from the search tab. The Save button purpose is to track the change in the rent. However, Version 1 does not include it yet. To delete the saved apartments, swipe left and a Delete button shows up.

You can add a place's info by simply going to the search tab and on the right top click the icon, then a new window presents. Some fields must be filled otherwise it does not post the apartment's info in public. If you have made a mistake and want to go back and fix it, you can go to settings and in properties present all the places you have posted. You can also delete a particular apartment by swiping left and then delete. Resetting an email or a password can be done in the settings. If you have a question/feedback/issue, go to the About & Feedback window in the settings.
