SwiftSeat

SwiftSeat is a carpooling application that aims to curb traffic in the GTA by making long-term carpool groups of users. The long-term groups make everyday commutes convenient by helping users to continue with the same groups.

How does SwiftSeat work?
- Register with the app and indicate whether you are a driver or a non-driver.
- Fill in your work and home addresses.
- Locate all carpool groups and individual drivers in your vicinity.
- Request to join an existing group or start your own carpool group.
- Press the “start trip” button once the commute begins.
- Payments will be handled by the application and reimbursed to the driver by the end of the month.
- Your commute to work just became convenient, shorter and cheaper!

What features does SwiftSeat provide to make the user experience easy and convenient?
- Leave/Join A Group: Users can leave their current carpool group by selecting “leave group” on their carpool group page. To join a new group, users can search for options in the search tab.
- Pause Button: If users do not wish to carpool for a certain time period, they can press the pause button. Users will not be charged for the duration that they paused the group.
- Ride Cancellation Option: Users can cancel a day’s ride by clicking on the “Opt out” button before the trip starts.
- Payments: All transactions are handled by the app and processed at the end of the month.
- Chat Room: Users can make use of the chat room to connect with carpoolers and discuss their commute routines.
