SZHP MY VIRTUAL HOME

Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme (SZHP) is a government organization that provides its customers with
housing services across the United Arab Emirates. Their main service is to aid Emiratis in booking and
purchasing subsidized villas in respected communities across the Emirates.
My Virtual Home is an application designed in order to enhance communication between SZHP and their
clients. The application visualizes how the villas will look like. Users will be able to see these villas in 5
methods:
1) Marker-less AR: Users will be able to place a digital representation of the villas in the real world
and can explore the interior and exterior parameters of the villas.
2) AR Portal: Users will be able to digitally step into these villas using AR. The models are scaled in
a 1:1 ratio.
3) VR Mode: Users can attach their phones to a VR Headset and virtually transport themselves into
these villas.
4) Automated Walkthrough: Users will be able to view a rendered video of interiors of the villas.
5) Manual Walkthrough: Users will be able to explore the villas using digital joysticks in the
application.

The intention of the application is to help SZHP’s clients understand and get a digital feel of these villas.
Considering that the communities are still under development and the community sites are a good
distance from the cities, the application provides the users with a more convenient method of seeing
their potential new home.

Once the user downloads the application, they will have a better understanding on what their new
home might look like and will help SZHP in reaching out to their clients in a more efficient way. Since
SZHP clients are only UAE nationals, the application will be targeted towards them.
