Técnico Lisboa Carpooling

CARPOOLING is the simplest and most effective way to reduce travel costs towards to Técnico, has a very positive impact on the environment and on the reduction of energy consumption associated with the mobility of the university community, contributing to the sustainability of the campuses, helping to relieve traffic in the City of Lisbon, also avoiding parking problems. Tecnians (all those that study and work at Técnico) have more time to relax and get to know each other, developing and improving human relations in between the academia.

Registration
The user must log in to the platform using Fénix access. Access to the platform is granted only to those who have an email from Instituto Superior Técnico, which have access credentials to the Fénix system.
Reservation
The driver specifies the route, commuting days, possible itinerary points and the meeting time. Passengers check availability and choose their ride through the platform.
Classification
It is possible to evaluate each ride. This option aims to improve the service and increase trust among passengers.
Communications
In each ride, the meeting between driver and passengers occurs at a chosen time and place. In case of unforeseen changes, the driver and the passengers can inform themselves by means of messages and notifications sent and received through the CARPOOLING platform of Instituto Superior Técnico.
