TapHear+ detects words with your phone's camera
TapHear+
What is it about?
TapHear+ detects words with your phone's camera. The words (or partial matches) are highlighted with gray boxes in real time on the display. You can then tap any of the boxes to hear the word detected in that region. This is good for hearing hard to read medicine names or reading otherwise small font. If it is labeled, you can hold your phone, tap and hear what the label says!

*TapHear is not a replacement for careful, secondary labeling of medications or dangerous objects for those with a visual impairment. The text is detected using a neural network on your phone. Not all fonts will be detected, especially handwritten fonts. The audio generated is computer-generated voice and the pronunciations may cause confusion between words that are audibly similar. Please always use with a secondary form of verification where life-critical decisions are being made with information pulled from labels.
