Tas eFish aims to streamline how commercial fishers and processors operating in Tasmania’s wild fisheries make real-time reports to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania.
This app is approved for use as an alternative to telephone reporting to provide notifications when commercial fishers start a fishing trip, unload fish, move fish from one location to another or any other activity as required by the Rules under the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995.
The initial release of Tas eFish is intended for use by commercial Rock lobster and Giant Crab fishers operating in Tasmanian waters.
Fishers need to be registered to complete and submit reports using Tas eFish.
