We hate having to phone around all the local taxi providers trying to find the soonest available taxi. So we made it easy.
We’re also horrified hearing some stories of unlicensed drivers working for other ride-hailing firms. So we thought we’d try and do something about it.

Before letting any operator join our herd, we check them out to make sure they are a fully legal & licensed goat. Licensed operators only – no exceptions. So safe in that knowledge, after a few easy taps on your phone, you’ll only be offered available licensed taxi / private hire operators that are local to you* (*from those operators who have been clever enough to join the herd and sign up with taxigoat!). Every local licensed operator* sees your trip request, and decides if its something they can do before offering their availability. You only book licensed operators who want your ride!

FULL PRICE QUOTED UP FRONT – FULL TRANSPARENCY
We think it sucks when you’re quoted £20 for a taxi ride before your journey starts, but are then charged £25 when your ride has finished! So we’ve scrapped that.
We also find it annoying when “Colin’s Cabs” charge £15 for a ride that “Terry’s Taxi’s” charge £12 for. So we’ve canned that too.
And being quoted 4x the usual price because its busy?! That’s a joke that isn’t funny; surge pricing isn’t for us.

You are quoted the full price for the trip you’ve requested, up front, before you agree to book the ride. We calculate our prices based on the forecasted time and distance of your journey, and the size of the vehicle you need. And no matter which available taxi or private hire operator you decide to book, you always pay the same price that you were quoted. And you’ll NEVER pay a ridiculous surge charge with taxigoat.

It’s annoying scrambling around for cash to pay for a taxi, or being given a load of change by the driver after breaking a £20 note to pay for a £6 fare. It’s even more annoying being told that your taxi is “just around the corner” for the 3rd time in 20 minutes. Have you ever had an angry driver grumble “I’ve been sat waiting outside for about 5 minutes”. We have. And have you ever sat outside the pub waiting for your taxi, only for your driver to be sat waiting outside the pub next door? Yeah, we’ve been there too. So we thought we’d try and make an app that makes booking and using a taxi completely hassle free.

Every taxigoat booking is completely cash free; when you sign up, you register your bank card, and…. That’s it! Each time you complete a trip, your card is charged with the fare. Easy. No more mid-journey detours to the nearest cash point! You’ll get notified when your Driver is on his way, nearby and when they’ve arrived. And if you’re still not sure, you can fire your driver an instant message through the taxigoat app to clear anything up. We like to think taxigoat has made booking your taxi a joy rather than a chore.
