Teach the Game

Teach the Game is a Basketball strategy app built to assist coaches in the instruction and coaching of Basketball. With Teach the Game, you can load from numerous strategies preloaded into the app, create and save your own strategies, playback strategies in slideshow or movie format, and share strategies with other users of the app.

Major Features:
-Custom team roster: Name, color, and populate your roster of custom players to enact strategies. Add your players to the app by giving their icon a photo portrait and a number for their jersey. If you don’t need specific players, you can use generic players instead.
-Educational Resources: Teach the Game contains educational resources for players and coaches alike.
-Strategy and player notes: Strategies can have notes attached either to the strategy itself, which inform the user as the uses and advantages of a particular strategy, or to players in a particular moment, which give more detailed information on what a player is or should be trying to do in a particular moment in the strategy.
-Create and edit custom strategies: Create entirely new strategies and drills for your team by using the strategy editor. Add players to the court by dragging them onto the court from the bench, and remove them by dragging them out of the court window. Reposition, and set paths for players by dragging on them. Change player facing by dragging on their facing indicators. Pass or shoot the ball by dragging the ball to its intended target.
-Strategy Frames: Add frames to your strategy to add sequential plays to your strategy. Adding a frame automatically sets the starting point of the new frame to the ending point of the previous frame.
-View Strategies: Teach the game comes with a number of ways to view the court. Select which area of the court to view by zooming and scrolling the court, or view half or a full court. View players on a hardwood or whiteboard court, and with or without a hexagonal grid overlay.
-Strategy Playback: Display your strategies by playing back the sequence of plays in a strategy in either slideshow, or fully animated movie format.
-Reactive defenses: Defensive players can target offensive players with a man-to-man defense, allowing it to automatically follow the targeted player’s every move.
-Tabbed strategies: Switch between viewing or editing multiple strategies quickly using multiple tabbed strategies.
