TexWev is a revolutionary designing tool for the iPhone created specially for the textile designer.

Create a collection of woven designs right on you iPhone with just a few drag - drops !!

The simple user-interface allows you to realise your creative potential while having fun in the process !

A detailed user-guide is included in the app ( tap on "?" at the bottom left of the main screen to open the guide ).

TexWev users can send / receive designs to / from other TexWev users via email. Communication between iPhones (and iPads using TexWev) allows design teams to communicate and share their ideas instantly. TexWev is an ideal companion for every creative designer.

The attached design can be opened from within the email. The design can then be edited and/or saved to the local design library on the your iPhone.

Following are some of the salient features of TexWev :

Fabric Effects
***************
- Variety of fabric effects like yarn dyed stripes and checks (plaids) with different structure effects are nicely displayed.

- Typical effects like Mellange, Indigos and Natural Spun effects are closely represented.

- Realistic weave effects are represented in fabrics.

- Fabric images are displayed in near actual size.

- View a single repeat of the design provided the pattern and weave are exactly matched in ends and picks.

-The 'Spun' option brings to life the displayed fabric, simulating effects of yarn's natural unevenness.

- Auto Pattern feature to create random new patterns from a given design.

Pattern Editor

- The Warp / Weft pattern is input using text format. This is simple method and easy to understand. A pattern like 4A4B would denote 4 threads (ends or picks) of Color A followed by 4 threads of Color B, and so on. 4 colors are available in the Warp and Weft respectively. A pattern can be of a maximum of 1200 ends and 1200 picks;

- While copying the warp pattern to weft, the software automatically adjusts the weft pattern to the closest equivalent based on the ratio of the ends/inch (or ends/cm) to the picks/inch (or picks/cm).

Ready Libraries Of Weaves And Colors

- A ready library of 40 most commonly used weaves comes bundled with. To use a particular weave just drag the weave from the library and drop it on the fabric area.

- In addition users can edit another 40 weaves of their own using the simple weave editor. The maximum limits for a weave repeat are 40 ends x 40 picks.

- A color library of 2000 colors is provided. Each of these colors can be customised and saved with a name.

- To use a certain color in a pattern simply drag it from the color library and drop it at the Color position in the warp/weft pattern.

Cloth Swatch and Card

- A large design swatch of the current design is displayed at the tap of a button.

- A simple cloth card containing the design swatch, pattern and weave details of the current design is displayed at the tap of a button.

- Both the above views can be saved to the photos album or emailed from within the app.

Excellent communication tool
*********************************
The design file or its swatch/cloth card can be emailed to other TexWev users (iPad or iPhone) providing a interactive environment among a team of designers, merchandisers and fabric manufacturers.
