Widenet is a mobile-app based technology used to evaluate talent on the basis of speed and fitness. An innovative player identification tool that neutralizes the process of evaluating athleticism and skill among youth athletes across Canada.
Widenet will test participant’s abilities through the measurement of speed and fitness using augmented reality. This is done through two self-assessments, the 20 metre sprint and the 200 metre shuttle. The assessments are easy to complete and can be done at home. Once these tests are completed, players can compare their scores to other prospects on a leaderboard and improve their time if needed.
Widenet has the capability to uncover potential future talent. Widenet can help athletes from all over Canada receive an opportunity to be included into an athlete database and on the radar for scouts.
