What is it about?

Stay current with the latest developments in the fields of education reform, voting rights, immigration reform, international peace and security, as well as African higher education with The Carnegie Press, a library of publications from the philanthropy Carnegie Corporation of New York. Carnegie Corporation’s periodicals include the Carnegie Reporter, a news magazine published quarterly, as well as the Carnegie Review and Carnegie Results, special issues that examine a single topic in depth. Established by the immigrant and industrialist Andrew Carnegie in 1911, Carnegie Corporation pioneered the concept of strategic philanthropy. In the spirit of his own mission, we make financial support to organizations that: • advance K–12 education systems in the United States; • help immigrants integrate into American society and strengthen voter protections; • foster international peace and security; • build capacity in African universities. Our support has led to everything from the creation of Sesame Street and the White House Fellows, to strengthening voter protections and dismantling Soviet warheads. While we are distinguished by our history of advancing knowledge, which has made us a leader in the field of philanthropy, we strive to innovate and incubate new ideas.
