The Gopher Pothole Spotter

What is it about?

The Original Gopher Pothole Plotter and Spotter allows you to plot the location of potholes you encounter along the roads you travel using the Plotter. The Spotter then will automatically give audible alerts as you approach the plots that you have made. You do not need access to the internet to use the Plotter or the Spotter (all plots are stored on your phone). You do need to turn on your GPS (which does not use data). You may also be able to download plots from highways where the Gopher has already made plots (currently select Canadian provinces). The app comes with a manage plot screen that allows you to review and delete plots (for example if a pothole is fixed you can delete the plot). The Gopher keeps user statistics like the number of plots stored on your phone and the number of alerts given. The Gopher also has some customizable features like highway and town driving modes which you can adjust based on your typical travel speed. There are also optional fun Gopher tips on start up and if you like, you can also visualize the plots on the map as you travel along (but this is not necessary for the spotter to give alerts). Of course, the Gopher App cannot guarantee that you will avoid potholes, but it may help you miss some of them, especially when potholes are hard to see (for example in the rain or at night). One thing is for sure -- the Gopher is Groovy (and fun to use)!
