App Store Description
Connects people who care about their communities’ news and what is covered by the media.
Creates a closed network displaying geo and time-verified photos and video about local newsworthy events.
Covers “real news” by providing local and national Media outlets with verified content to use in their broadcasts and publications.
The story of Real-Time® begins with two events.
The first event is the horrific video which captures a woman recording her boyfriend, Philando Castile in July of 2016. He had just been shot by police while sitting in the front seat of their car while being pulled over for a broken taillight.
Where did it happen? The specific location, does anyone remember?
What was the outcome?
The second was the terrorist attack in Nice France on July 14th, 2016 during Bastille Day celebrating. The attack claimed the lives of more than 80 people and injured nearly 500. A very shaky video went a viral shot from the balcony of a nearby house. A truck is seen murderously plowing through the crowd.
Were there other videos? Do they provide any clarity to the situation?
How many people actually know precisely when and where this happened?
Solutions. Real-Time® fills a need by providing geographically verifiable videos and pictures. Collaborating point of view with other videos and pictures.
The Media references videos through YouTube. Which is a jungle at best. Real-Time® provides fidelity of location and eliminates “false flags” significantly reducing “spin”. Newsrooms can confidently pull images, videos, and text from the Real-Time® community.
Users can tag locations and topics, to see what is trending across the network, and have the option to focus on any location via the search bar.
Real-Time® can be linked to existing social media easily or as a standalone app. It’s essentially showing up to the beautiful playground of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter instead of doing its own thing in the abandoned lot across the street. Stand on the shoulders of giants. Not re-inventing the wheel per say…
The limitations of an app like Periscope are not utilizing existing social, Hashtags, Trending, less precise geographical verification tools. Real-Time® metadata cannot be manipulated. Where vid/pic is taken is where it’s posted to on the map.
Real-Time® users will have a user agreement similar to Facebook. Users can flag other vids/pics for possible misuse which is sure to happen.
