PURPOSE OF THIS APP:

In a way, everyone is a writer, of personal thoughts, life stories and experiences, and interpretation of world events. While many social platforms allow people to share information of many kinds, it is often necessary to have a dialogue with self, such as when a thought needs to remain personal, needs to be developed overtime, or simply cannot be shared.

This App provides a quiet place for writing down personal thoughts, and safely storing it locally and in personal iCloud account. It may be used by writers to pen down a short essay, revise, and revise. It can be also used by people who like to keep a diary of interesting personal stories to savor at a later time or share with friends and family. This App developer uses it to improve his writing skills. It is ideally suited for iPads for ease of typing.

i) Simple and convenient layout for easy use,
ii) Large text display window for easy typing and revisions,
iii) Large fonts and buttons for easy viewing,
iv) Safe lock for data security,
v) Automatic sync with personal iCloud account for data persistence among different devices or in case of App deletion, and
vi) Notes are automatically saved and updated at each keyboard dismissal.

INSTRUCTIONS TO USE:

1. Setting PIN for the first time:
i) first set a 4-8 character secret word for PIN reset;
ii) then set a 6-digit PIN to lock the notes and iCloud screens;

2. Subsequently:
i) touch the lock button to lock or unlock the notes and iCloud screens;
ii) 5 PIN attempts (to unlock) and 5 secret word attempts (for resetting PIN) are allowed.

3. The notes screen:
i) add a new note by touching the "+ New Note" button on top of the screen; notes will be automatically saved and updated at keyboard dismissal;
ii) designate or un-designate any note as favorite by touching the star button on the right (this will automatically add "***" to or remove "***" from the end of the note);
iii) search for specific notes by using the search button;
iv) one can create different "types" of notes by attaching different symbols at the end of the note, such as "@@@", and then search for it;
v) when needed, use the "All" button to get back to see all the notes;
vi) use the star button on the left to view all the notes designated as favorite;
vii) use the sun label button to change background color.
viii) use the U-turn button to recover the last deleted note.
