■ What is TiltCode?

TiltCode is a smartphone-based interactive data sharing solution that uses angle values of a smartphone’s digital compass to generate codes.

Using the smartphone’s digital compass (or gyrosensor) TiltCode extracts angle values when mobile devices are tilted. Our servers use your angle value and GPS location to connect your device with other mobile devices that have an approximately identical angle values in a nearby area. After being connected you can exchange data with your friends! These angle values become ‘codes’ that identifies devices from one another, which is named ‘TiltCode’. TiltCode is patented in South Korea and has also been applied internationally.

TiltCodes are generated when the mobile device is tilted approximately 0, ±45, ±90, ±135, 180 degrees (each being 45 degrees apart).
