Trace Register CTE App
What is it about?
The Trace Register CTE App enables users to capture Critical Tracking Events (CTEs) in the seafood supply chain. A CTE is key to recording the historical records that define the traceability of a specific product, i.e. a Product Instance. Each Product Instance is identified by a globally unique Electronic Product Code (EPC). The EPC is constructed by combining a Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) with either a lot number (a Class Level EPC) or with a serial number (an Instance level EPC). All product instances with the same EPC code share a common product history.

A Product Instance Reference consists of an EPC that identifies the product instance, a type of reference, and for some products (excluding temperature and freeze events) an amount. The type of reference can be Input, where the Product Instance was consumed by the event; Output, where the Product Instance was created by the event; or Reference, where the Product Instance is being referenced by the event.
Every CTE consist of six key parts and six matching identifiers. The Party that owns the product, and the Party that enters the data can be identified by a PGLN (Party Global Location Number). The location of where the event took place is identified by a GLN (Global Location Number). The type of event can be identified by the CTE Type which is a URI (Uniform Resource Identifier). A CTE contains key information about the Event Time (the time the CTE took place), and a list of Product Instance References which identify the products involved.
The Trace Register CTE App also provides the capability for a user to capture the recording of their products by scanning a GS128 barcode and returning information about that product from our web-integrated system. The integration with the web also enables our users to Review, Edit and Delete from a list of their CTEs over the last 24 hours, providing fast on-the-go access to your data in the palm of your hand.
