Transport Scot Pass Collect

Welcome to the Transport Scot Pass Collect App.

You can use this app to

- Read and check what concession travel passes are on your smartcard

If you are 16-21 years old you can also

- Collect your Free Bus Pass onto your existing Scottish National Entitlement Card or Young Scot card

- Collect your friend’s Free Bus Pass onto their cards too



Please be aware that in order for this app to work, the phone must be compatible with NFC (near field communication) functionality – this is the same function as when you use contactless payment on your phone.

This App uses the NFC functionality to let you read the National Entitlement Card or Young Scot card, and check what travel passes or other travel facilities are on these smartcards.

If you are aged 16-21 (inclusive) and have a National Entitlement Card or Young Scot card, it can also download your free bus pass, if you don’t already have it.



You can also use it to read your friend’s cards and download their bus passes onto their card for them if they don’t have NFC.

The Transport Scot Pass Collect App is self-explanatory and shows you how to read a smartcard or collect a bus pass in a few easy steps. It also has links to more information online and contact details if you need more help. It doesn’t collect any personal data and is free to use.
