App Store Description
The TrekNature Grand Paradis Vanoise App contains the walking itineraries that develop on the Italian-French border within the two protected areas of the Gran Paradiso (Aosta Valley and Piedmont) and the Vanoise (Savoia): the Normal Tour and the Glacial Tour.
The App allows you to easily navigate the routes. The interactive map allows you to view your position on the route using the device's GPS, even without an internet connection: maps and tracks can be preloaded, avoiding roaming costs.
In case of oversight, an alarm alerts you if you depart from the route, and you can report any problems on the routes by communicating the GPS position.
The accommodations, services and points of interest along the itineraries are located on the map, and it is possible to contact them directly from the smartphone. For the points of interest on the map you also have the "Augmented Reality" function (AR+).
The App was created within the INTERREG VA Italy-France cooperation program - Alcotra 2014/2020, as part of the European programming 2014/2020 and involves the Municipalities of Val d'Isère, Bonneval sur Arc, Valsavarenche, Rhêmes-Notre-Dame and Ceresole Reale.
