However, the natural beauty and thoughtful forward tee placements make it a joy to play regardless of skill level. Nicklaus crafted a set of low-key holes that flow gracefully through dense stands of pines, palmettos and native scrub, with greens that are receptive to a variety of approaches. He further accented the layout with Scottish-style revetted pot bunkers and a memorable island green at the par-3 11th.
