App Store Description

A research study “Discovery of symptom phenotypes and trajectories for early prediction of COVID -19 using Symptom Discovery app”.

The purpose of this study is to see if the comprehensive day to day symptom data can predict the risk of occurrence of COVID -19 and to explore the ways to identify the asymptomatic cases at the earlier stage. If you agree to participate in this research, you will be asked to enter your daily symptoms in the Symptom Scientist app built by us. There will be a small section of the demographic survey, health survey, and test information survey, which will take approximately 3 to 6 minutes for once. Additionally, you will be asked to record your day-to-day symptoms within the app, which may take 10 to 15 minutes for day 1 and much lesser time (approximately 5-7 minutes) for day 2 and onwards up to four weeks period of our study.

There is no direct benefit to you from taking part in this study. We hope that the research will add to the scientific knowledge, and the findings of the study will be helpful to predict the risk of COVID-19 and to identify the asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic cases at the early stage. However, we cannot promise any potential benefits following the participation in this study

The risks of this research are minimal. Some of the questions might make you feel uncomfortable or upset. You do not have to answer any of the questions you do not want to answer.
