App Store Description

Play your instrument immediately!

With this App, the first time that you pick up your instrument, you will be playing it correctly!

Music Students can use this App to practice their musicianship. The built-in metronome facilitates practicing your timing at different beats per minute. You can play with friends and all be on the same page.

Enter a chord progression into the App, set the beats per minute to a speed that you are able to play and play along on your instrument while the App loops the chord progression around and around.

This App is an excellent music theory reference tool that will help any music student or professional musician.

Music Teachers can use this App to communicate musical concepts to their students in a way that their students will find easy to understand, for example, this App makes it easy to understand playing in time to a selected number of beats per minute, notes and which notes make up a chord.

This App also makes it easy to understand the circle of fifths, which chords are diatonic to a Major Scale, the twelve Major Scales, which Major Scale degrees have a chord quality of Major, Minor or Diminished, transposing to different keys, improvising chord progressions and much more.

All of Music Wormhole’s products are music theory correct, which means you will get a good foundation of music theory knowledge and you will sound good!

All of Music Wormhole’s products use a consistent color assignment for each note, which makes the material visually intuitive, for example, the color of the note "C" is always Yellow.

Ukulele Chords by Music Wormhole is an iPad only App because the large screen size of the iPad makes it a good platform for learning and the iPad is a suitable size to place on your music stand.

This App is free to download and level one of the App is immediately available. Level two and level three of his App have to be unlocked with an In-App purchase.

The first level of this App uses large colorful diagrams to display the notes and finger positions to play all the Major Chords of Western Music. The Chords are arranged in the order of the Chromatic Scale (sequentially - similar to a clock face). You can tap the screen to hear the chord play and swipe the screen to change to the next chord in the Chromatic Scale. You can enter a chord progression using a single chord plus quarter rests and practice playing along on your instrument. The beats per minute can be set from 10 beats per minute to 160 beats per minute. There are video lessons built into each level of this App that will provide a foundation for understanding the structure of Western Music.

The second level of Ukulele Chords by Music Wormhole plays and displays the I-IV-V Chords in the twelve keys of Western Music. The I-IV-V Chord progression is important because it is used often in songs and learning to play these three chords together as a group will help you to play songs. Chord progressions can be saved with a meaningful name, such as a song title, so that users can come back to practice that song’s chord progressions again and again.

The third level of Ukulele Chords by Music Wormhole plays and displays the chords that are diatonic to the Major Scale in the twelve keys of Western Music. The Major Scale is by far the most often used scale in Western Music. This App allows you to practice playing the Major Scale or improvise your own chord progressions in any Major Scale. Measure bars will record either the Chord Names or the Scale Degrees that you play and play them back to you or allow you to change to another key and hear that chord progression played back in a different key. Mastering the Major Scale in at least three keys is an essential step for anyone who is serious about playing music.

It is fun to tap the screen of this App and hear different chords play.

You will be amazed by how much you can learn by simply playing around with this App.
