Motionless Detector performs the same alarm function as the firefighter's PASS device

Unmotion Motionless Detector

by Salerno Labs LLC

What is it about?

Motionless Detector performs the same alarm function as the firefighter's PASS device. When a firefighter goes into a hazardous location, their PASS device will sound an alarm if they stop moving due to injury or incapacitation. This app should never be used for any official firefighting business but it is an educational tool that some may find interesting or useful to detect non-movement.

App Store Description

Motionless Detector performs the same alarm function as the firefighter's PASS device. When a firefighter goes into a hazardous location, their PASS device will sound an alarm if they stop moving due to injury or incapacitation. This app should never be used for any official firefighting business but it is an educational tool that some may find interesting or useful to detect non-movement.

THIS APP DOES NOT REPLACE AN ACTUAL PASS DEVICE IN ANY WAY. It's not loud enough and the iPhone shouldn't be used as a safety device. Also, actual PASS devices have radio components that transmit alarm information to other units.

This app counts down from a customizable time limit (15 seconds by default) and when it reaches zero an alarm is sounded. To stop the alarm and reset the counter at any time, simply nudge the device over a threshold you specify (from a jolt to a nudge).

The uses of this app are quite varied but with several customizable preferences, it can be adapted to be a useful tool for measuring breaks during working out or a louder alarm for when the dryer is done. It requires a device with an external speaker to properly operate and the vibration function only works on devices that support it (iPhone).
