Vegemi

Vegemi is aimed at children, but designed for the whole family to get involved. The goal is to make eating fruits and vegetables easier for parents and fun for the children, whilst increasing food interest, awareness and nutrition knowledge.

The Vegemi app inspires children to learn about fruits and veggies, including the benefits of eating them, with the help of a story-based, entertaining character. Vegemi is a healthy gut microbe, which the children can feed with fruits and veggies to unlock their nutritional superpowers, keeping Vegemi strong and healthy! The application also uses image recognition, for children to connect real vegetables with the stories and superpowers of Vegemi.

After eating a fruit or vegetable, or when children use the image recognition function, Vegemi gains superpowers specific to each fruit or veggie, and then goes on an exciting adventure around the human body. The user is rewarded for taking care of Vegemi, and for the image recognition of vegetables, with various encouraging rewards. The application contains games, and utilises Vegemi's story and game-like elements as well as augmented reality, which makes eating fruits and veggies easier and more enjoyable for your family's everyday mealtimes.

Vegemi introduces children to the world of healthy fruits and veggies, and gets them excited about new flavours and different ways to eat them through play and exploration, whilst helping the whole family to eat a more nutrient rich diet.
