Velo Pitch Speed

How does it work:

*Set the distance between the pitcher’s mound and home plate. ( Major league distance is 60.5ft) This distance setting is essential to the calculation of the speed. The software will be looking for the pitcher and the catcher using player recognition. Velo now has a start and end point of reference.

*Camera Position: The user should position himself to the left or right of pitcher approx. 20+ feet away. Make sure the pitcher and catcher are in the frame.

*The user will start the calculation before the pitcher goes into his windup. There will be a black box that appears on the screen between the pitcher and the catcher. This black box is your calculation box. Velo is measuring the distance travelled within the calculation box. Once the catcher catches the ball end the video. Once the video has ended Velo will display the speed on the screen.
