App Store Description

Venturefest brings together partners and supporters as well as Oxford’s business networks and commercial businesses, to provide a useful range of contacts for networking.
Our annual networking event for high tech businesses, is taking place on Wednesday, 8th July 2015 at the Saïd Business School, Oxford.

This event will reflect a new programme based on the four stages of business’ journey: birth, childhood, adolescence and adult.

The programme will again feature the three main streams: Funding, Learning and Innovation.

The Funding Stream is all about seeking and offering funding and support. From pitches to debate, you will hear from and meet investors and entrepreneurs.

The Learning stream: jam-packed with sessions about ‘How to’ start or grow your business, with insights from business leaders that you wouldn’t see at any other event.

The Innovation Stream has been separated into the four key stages of business: Birth, Childhood, Adolescence and Adult. Each of these four stages will include half a day of presentations and workshops focused on the age of the business. They will also have a focus on of the five key clusters: Advanced Engineering, Digital, Life Science, Low Carbon and Space.

Alongside the stream workshops we will have the innovation show case, the exhibition area, and the ‘Meet the Experts’ sessions.

Punctuating the workshops we have three key note speakers at the start, middle and end of the day. Lynn Shepherd, executive chair will open the event, with Mike Brady for the lunchtime keynote and the closing keynote Oxford and Cambridge in conversation.

The last session will be followed by a drinks reception, that brings together the leaders of Oxfordshire’s innovation eco-system to celebrate its successes and discuss how we can best we can build on our achievements for the future.
