"The museum that isn’t there”

The De Fornaris Foundation was founded in Turin in 1982 by the will of the patron Ettore De Fornaris. Since then it has been active with personal financial resources in the field of art: it buys works, organizes meetings, creates exhibitions and catalogs of his own collections.
The Foundation does not have its own museum, as its numerous works are by statute granted on free loan to the Gam Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Turin and only partially exhibited there permanently. This is why we wanted to create a Virtual Museum, in which the collection could find its own spaces.
We invite you to visit our Virtual Museum, remembering that the works presented and all those that are part of the De Fornaris collection are kept at the Gam in Turin and exhibited in part and in rotation.
