This app provides a more accessible experience to those who have severe forms of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or who have similar emotional, cognitive, and/or communications impairments. For such individuals, transitions are often difficult, and time, being something of an abstract concept, can be difficult to comprehend and lead to greater anxiety and frustration. Visual cues can be critical to improving these situations, but so also is eliminating both visual and auditory distractions as much as possible.

In most cases, the app will be used directly be the caregiver, with options disabled while the timer is running, and in most cases, with either no alert sound when the timer expires, or a very brief and quiet one.

User interface elements are designed to be simple and intuitive, and with most of the items disappearing from view once the timer itself is underway.
