On Gião's national amphitheater there is one of the most important locations of cave paintings on the Northwest of the Iberian Peninsula with over one hundred carved rocks.During recent ancient times, it was here where a "sacred" area of symbolic, geometric figures was created with a large number of stylized human shapes.
