What is it about?
The Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) is an incorporated, no-tfor-profit, technical association of approximately 1,300 environmental engineers, scientists, operators, and others from consulting companies, municipalities, industry, equipment suppliers and government agencies. The Annual Technical Symposium OPCEA Exhibition brings together over 500 delegates from the wastewater industry from municipalities, consultants, operators, equipment suppliers, educators, policy makers and students to share ideas and experiences and to provide an opportunity for networking. The conference offers high quality technical papers submitted by leading experts within our industry and showcases the latest and greatest technologies in the industry at the OPCEA equipment Exhibition. The event is wrapped up with a competition by teams of Ontario municipal operators. in the Operations Challenge, where they demonstrate their skills and expertise against one another and to the spectators, with a chance to go on to compete internationally. Student teams from Ontario universities also have an opportunity to present their ideas to solve real-life wastewater problems in the Student Design Competition.
