App Store Description
Web Locker offers two operational modes: Standalone and MDM-controlled via Managed Configurations.
In Standalone Mode, users can manually set up the app to lock a device to a specific website, allowing them to enter a URL, enable inactivity timeouts to reload the page after inactivity, and restrict navigation to the designated domain. This mode is ideal for personal use, providing flexibility and control without external management tools, and is suitable for personal kiosks or small-scale deployments. To prevent users from exiting the app, Guided Access can be used.
The Managed Configuration via MDM mode allows administrators to remotely install, configure, and control the app on target devices using solutions like Jamf School. This mode supports managed configurations that enable locking devices to a specific website, setting inactivity timeouts, and restricting navigation, all through an adjustable XML template available for download on our website. Changes are pushed in real-time, making it perfect for classrooms, events, or public kiosks, offering full control and scalability for organisations. To prevent users from exiting the app, the MDM's single app mode functionality can be utilised.
