What is it about?

This app is designed to help students with special needs to establish routines and integrate in a mainstream classroom. As a classroom teacher I was desperately searching for a daily schedule app for my students with Autism but the ones that I found were either too expensive or too complicated to use. That is why I designed and built 'What's On Today?'. Research has shown that some students require a set schedule for their day and need to have an orderly and routine-based experience at school in order to be successful. 'What's On Today?' is designed to be easy to use for students and teacher's alike. It is interesting to look at and easy for anxious students to reference throughout the day.

Students or teachers can choose what subjects and events the student will have that day at school. They can then also select the time by typing it in above the subjects. Students and teachers can also tick off the subjects or events that have been completed. This application has been designed for students with low-motor skills in mind.
