App Store Description

Wearable flight instrument for pilots and aviation enthusiasts.

This is a standalone watch app and doesn't require your iPhone to be nearby.

Once you have downloaded points of interest and airspaces, the app does not need internet access. All of its features work offline.

Features:

Navigate to a selected destination (point of interest) such as a known paragliding takeoff or landing area. When on the ground (not moving), the navigation page uses the built-in compass (very useful when hiking). When you are moving (in the air), your true course is shown based on GPS motion data. This is extremely helpful when visibility is reduced, especially when flying through clouds.

We now support two sources for points of interest:
- paraglidingearth.com (coverage: worldwide)
- DHV (coverage: Europe)
Additional data sources will be added shortly. Stay tuned!

Points of interest are filtered by distance from your position and can be filtered by type (for example, to list the nearest landing areas).

Inspect the airspace surrounding your location. The main view is a composite view of all airspaces in range. To know more, use the list view which shows a detailed list of nearby airspaces with their class, as well as their floor and ceiling. This helps you stay outside of regulated airspace.

The altitude indicator shows your absolute altitude (based on the built-in barometer, calibrated to GPS altitude). It also allows you to add relative altitude by zeroing (e.g. before takeoff or when inspecting the landing area). Use it to track your altitude gain or estimate your glide towards a destination.

Use the speed indicator to check your ground speed, especially in windy conditions.

The climb rate indicator (variometer) is a great addition to any small beeping variometer and adds a graphical and numerical display of your climb.

To conserve your watch's battery and accommodate the watch use model, the app is designed to stay active when used and return to watch face when not used (wrist lowered, no interaction) for longer periods. This period (maximum time inactive) can be set in the app' s settings. When the app is used again, it continues where it left off, including navigation. This allows you to quickly verify your course during flight without the need to keep the app running continuously.

Support the ongoing development by buying now -- and get future enhancements for free. No in-app purchases, no subscription, no hidden cost.
