This app aims to simply and quickly help you find a wine that matches a certain taste, and it uses some natural language processing (machine learning) to give you the option of comparing the wine reviews!

This app relies on over 2,000 professional sommelier reviews from winemag.com. However, this app is completely offline - you can look for wines even when you don't have internet.

The wines are described by flavor notes from some of the best wine reviewers in the world. All you have to do is click on the taste notes that sound good to you - this app will rank the top matches, which you can use in-store or online to find the kind of wine you want to purchase!

The app also has a 'find similar' option on each wine that comes from the search. This is where the 'computer recommends wines' - the app uses Apple's natural language framework to convert the wine descriptions into a format that your phone can use to compare the similarity of the descriptions. This way, if you don't find a wine you like, you can let the computer in your phone try to 'act as a sommelier', and find a new wine! What's more - you can do this up to ten times (you can find up to ten new wines that may be very similar, for each wine).

Lastly, you can use this app for quick wine lookup. At any point in the search for a wine, you can click "search wines" and have access to every wine review we have in the app's data. You search for a wine by typing the name of the wine into the search bar, and voila! The description, review, title, type, and price are returned for you. So, if the app can't seem to find a wine that matches what you are looking for, feel free to browse 2176 wines and their reviews at any time!
