WordsFromImage allows you to scan and extract text from images in few simple steps:

1) Upload your image or take a picture of the document you want to extract text from.

2) Update image and extraction settings (rotation and extraction language).

3) Click on a text detection mode icon (article, poster or table) to extract text from the selected image.

4) Check and edit extracted text.

5) Copy to clipboard or share extracted text.

Recommendations

* Recommended minimum image resolution: 150 DPI

* Scanning time can range from few seconds to several minutes (affected by image size and internet connection speed)

* If scanning is slow (e.g. large files or large amount of text), consider splitting the image into multiple sub-images

* Make sure the text in the image is horizontally aligned - you can use the rotation tool to achieve optimal alignment

* If there are no multiple background colours and text on the same image, try using the search mode or consider splitting the image into multiple sub-images

* Make sure there is high contrast between background and text, with no shades
