WTW - What's The Word

'What's The Word' is a fast new way to find Parties, Concerts, Car Meets, Clubs, Friends and More!

Hosting and Promoting:

-Post a flier of your event with the location, details, category and time! Your event can be public with reservations, or private to promote to your friends!

Meet Up:

-Enjoy the fun of going out and meeting new people without the stress and fear of being alone with someone new. Bring your friends along, and make it a group effort.

Close the Deal:

-By using the group swiping feature, you can find people who have similar interests as you and connect as a group to increase the fun!

Creating Events:

To create an event, press the plus sign located in the middle of the navigation bar. Include things like event name, details, a flier cover picture, date/time and location. If you would like to make this a paid event, you will need to create a Stripe account within the app to receive funds, or just continue with a free event.

Adding Friends:

To add a friend, go to profile tab and type in the user's username to find their profile.

Next, click on their profile from the drop down menu. By pressing the plus icon next to their profile picture, this will send them a friend request. To accept a friend request, click the bell icon in the bottom right corner of the screen, which will show all listed notifications.

Posting Content:

To post pictures and videos on your profile, press the plus icon on the the profile page. Add photos or videos for others to see!

Group Feature:

Create your own group by clicking on the cards icon on the navigation bar. Add a name, picture and location. After this, you can invite some friends! In order for your friends to appear in the group they must accept the invitation in the notification page. Then, you can start matching with groups near you! After you match with a group, go to your profile page and click the icon on the top left under the search bar. Press the chat icon and from there it will put you in a group chat with everyone from both groups! From here you can chat, message, and find groups to attend with each other.


Staying Safe:

Whether it's going to an event, hanging out with a group you found, or chatting with new people, we encourage you to practice safety measures while also having fun! Don't go to any events you don't trust or you feel like is unsafe.
