The AppAdvice App Is Back - For Good

October 13, 2011
The last 48 hours have been wild here at AppAdvice and not only because of the iCloud and iOS 5 launch. Indeed, following Monday's massive app update, we received a number of complaints concerning issues our app was having on some devices running iOS 5. With the imminent release of the new OS, we rushed a fix to Apple, which luckily, was approved within hours. Unfortunately, that consequently broke iOS 4 support, and as many of you noticed, forced us to pull the app to prevent further upgrades and damage. As you can imagine, we're extremely embarrassed and sorry about the situation. We thank the hundreds of you that took time to email us about all the issues and your understanding as we fixed it. Fortunately, thanks to quick collaboration with Apple, we have now fixed the app, and it runs on both iOS 4 and 5. Phew! It's once again approved and live in the App Store, available for everyone to enjoy. Hopefully, the storm is over and everything should be working smoothly from here on out, on every iDevice and iOS version. If that's not the case, don't hesitate to contact our support team at support@appadvice.com. As a reminder, this new version of AppAdvice brings push notification support, filters and many more. Check out Monday's announcement for all the details. You can find the AppAdvice app on the App Store for $1.99.
