Take A Gigantic Bite Out Of The New Utopia Update For Angry Birds Space

July 26, 2012
A couple of weeks after launching Amazing Alex, Rovio is proving that its Angry Birds franchise is alive and chirping. Then again, was there ever any evidence to the contrary? Mere minutes ago, Rovio issued another update to Angry Birds Space, the latest title in the popular physics puzzler series. The new update picks up on the previous one, which introduced more levels in the donut-shaped food world of Utopia. The latest version of Angry Birds Space brings the second half of Utopia, comprising 20 new levels. What's more, if you manage to get three stars in each level, you automatically unlock 10 new bonus levels. Sweet! In addition, the update shoots three other new things into the game's gravity-defying space. There's the much-awaited appearance of the super-sized Orange Bird. There's the new, never-before-seen space egg. And, last but certainly not least, there's the new astronomically challenging boss fight. Angry Birds Space for iPhone and Angry Birds HD for iPad are available in the App Store for $0.99 and $2.99, respectively. Launched last March, Angry Birds Space is perhaps the most innovative of all the Angry Birds games, at least as far as gameplay is concerned. Although it features basically the same battle between avian and porcine forces, Angry Birds Space realistically incorporates different gravitational fields in its level design. And that's more than you can say about most other games set in space.
