Quickly And Easily Stream Your Computer Content Onto An Apple TV With QuikIO
January 4, 2013
Less than a month after its release in the App Store, QuikIO has already added a new significant feature.
QuikIO is the iPhone-optimized version of QuikIO HD for iPad, which was released in November last year. QuikIO allows you to easily access your files on your computer using only your iPhone, or your iPod touch for that matter.
It's worth noting that QuikIO is not a cloud-based service. As such, it doesn't trouble you with storage limitations and iOS-friendly file format conversion issues.
Rather, QuikIO is more like a streaming service, i.e., it lets you stream, download, and share your Mac or PC content right onto your iDevice.
And now, thanks to its latest update, QuikIO is now able to stream content onto an Apple TV, albeit indirectly.

As demonstrated in the video above, QuikIO allows you to stream your computer content onto your iDevice and then send that content to an Apple TV.
One good thing about QuikIO's Apple TV integration is also demonstrated in the video: multitasking. Yes, you can still open other apps and multitask on your iDevice without interrupting the file being streamed by QuikIO to an Apple TV.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later, QuikIO is available in the App Store for free.
The app's latest update also includes automatic resumption of downloads and support for the QuikSend sharing feature.
