For the first time since November, Apple has just released an update to its Podcasts app.
Here’s the complete list of changes in version 1.2 of the app:
• Create custom stations of your favorite podcasts that update automatically with new episodes • Choose whether your stations begin playing with the newest or oldest unplayed episode • Your stations are stored in iCloud and kept up-to-date on all of your devices • Create an On-The-Go playlist with your own list of episodes • Playlists synced from iTunes now appear in the Podcasts app • The Now Playing view has been redesigned with easier to use playback controls • Addressed an issue with resuming playback when returning to the app • Additional performance and stability improvementsOverall, it looks like a very good update that adds some quality features. I’m most excited about the iCloud support and the new look of the Now Playing view. Podcasts is a universal app for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. If you’re interested in other podcasting apps, take a look at our App Showdown from late last year.
