Catch Of The Day: Ridiculous Fishing Out Now In The App Store
March 14, 2013
A tale of redemption that is actually a game about fishing with guns, chainsaws, and toasters? That's ridiculous! Exactly. No wonder the game in question is called Ridiculous Fishing.
And it has a riveting backstory to boot:
Follow Billy as he tries to find redemption from his uncertain past. Chase your destiny on the high seas and embark on a heroic quest for glory and gills.Based on the original Flash game Radical Fishing, Ridiculous Fishing dares you to do something, well, ridiculous: sink your line as deep as you can, pull it up while hooking as many fish as you can, flip them into the air, and blast them to fishy smithereens. Sounds a lot like Ninja Fishing, doesn't it? Well, Ninja Fishing is supposedly a Radical Fishing clone with a touch of Fruit Ninja thrown in. So, make of that what you will. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. In any case, the real deal is here. And Ridiculous Fishing offers to serve up the following, among other treats:
Ridiculous Fishing is published by Radical Fishing and Super Crate Box creator Vlambeer. It's developed in collaboration with Zach Gage (Spelltower, Bit Pilot, Unify) and Greg Wohlwend (Hundreds, Solipskier, Gasketball). Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, Ridiculous Fishing is available now in the App Store for $2.99. Note that that amount is all you need to pay to take full advantage of the game's ridiculous pleasures. This is because the game is proudly IAP-free. But if you're still on the fish fence about getting it, just stay hooked to AppAdvice and make sure to catch Christine's review of the game to be posted later. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
