Facebook Messenger Satisfies Need For Speed With Improved Switching And Scrolling

September 17, 2013
Facebook Messenger for iOS has just received a new update. Nope, with just a couple of days to go before the official release of iOS 7, Facebook Messenger has not been updated to look and feel right at home on the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system. But given that the main Facebook iOS app, of which Facebook Messenger is essentially a spinoff, is set to be redesigned for iOS 7, Facebook Messenger's iOS 7 redesign is probably not so far off. For now, the latest update to Facebook Messenger offers better speed and stability. It ensures that it's now faster to open the app and to switch between messages. As well, it offers improved scrolling and overall performance. The update also brings language support for Croatian, Hungarian, and Slovak, in addition to English, Bokmål, Norwegian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Thai, Traditional Chinese, and Turkish. Also including some bug fixes, the new version of Facebook Messenger is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later. Facebook Messenger was previously updated last month with a new paper clip button for sending photos, voice messages, and emoji. Also, it was updated with the ability to choose photos from any album from the Photos app. It was last updated with a new major feature back in May with the addition of support for stickers.
