Minimalistic Conversion App Vert Updated With Improved Search, New Theme

The popular conversion app, Vert, has received another update. This time round, developer Andrej Mihelic has greatly improved the application's search feature, as well as adding a brand new "Autumn" theme and making a number of under-the-hood performance enhancements. As a reminder, Vert allows iDevice users to convert between a vast number of different units. The app looks great running under Apple's iOS 7, and its simple, intuitive functionality means it's one of AppAdvice's favorite conversion apps. Back in September, the $0.99 iPhone app was updated to add icons for each category, along with support for a number of additional units (including Japanese measurements, rock climbing grades, bra cups, and advanced cooking units) and two new themes. Now, however, Vert users will be pleased to learn that the app's developer has enhanced the application's built-in search functionality: "you can search units directly from the search bar by their name or code. Currencies can also be found by the country," Mihelic explains in the app's release notes. Furthermore, a new "Autumn" theme means users can configure Vert to reflect the present time of year, and a number of further under-the-hood improvements have made the application more stable than before.
