The Journey Down: Chapter Two out on Aug. 25 - Preorder the desktop edition now

About a month ago, we told you that the sequel to the acclaimed Afro-Caribbean-inspired point-and-click adventure game The Journey Down: Chapter One had been slated for release later this summer. Well, today we already have a definite release date for the long-awaited The Journey Down: Chapter Two. Coming nearly two years after the launch of the original game, The Journey Down: Chapter Two sees the series' heroes going below the Edge and ending up in Port Artue, where they encounter pirates and evade the law. As indicated in the trailer below, The Journey Down: Chapter Two is scheduled to come out on PC, Mac, Linux, and iOS a month from now, on Aug. 25. And as pointed out in the trailer, you can already preorder the desktop edition of The Journey Down: Chapter Two at thejourneydown.com for only $5.99, instead of its retail price of $8.99. What's more, the preorder deal includes a copy of The Journey Down: Chapter One. Plus, you get to take advantage of the preorder deal for a good cause. The Journey Down developer SkyGoblin notes:

Half of all pre-order revenues will go directly to the Mavuno girl's school project, an initiative designed to empower women in the Kagera region in north-west Tanzania.
