“Don’t drive under influence of psychedelic substances.”

That’s the tagline of the trippy Vimeo Staff Pick animated short film “The Trip,” which has been adapted as a trippy side-scrolling endless running game for iOS.

Also called The Trip, the new endless runner features original artwork and animation by Antonio Vicentini, the director of the animated short, coupled with music and sound effects by Henry Gosuen, the game’s developer and publisher.

As noted by Pocket Gamer, in The Trip, you control a camper van as it drives across a hallucinatory landscape. Simply tap to dodge other camper vans and obstacles along the way. You’re also encouraged to collect crystals to activate power-ups, including wings and lifting mechanisms.

It’s a pretty simple endless runner, yes, but its nice little trippy touches make it quite fun and make you want to drive as far as you can.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later, The Trip is available now on the App Store for free.

And here’s the original “The Trip” animation for your viewing pleasure (Warning: Contains mild cartoon nudity):
