It’s been a decade since Apple began offering movies on iTunes. And to celebrate 10 years of iTunes Movies, the company is holding a special promotion whereby several 10-movie bundles can be purchased for just $10 each.

As noted by MacRumors, the availability of movies on iTunes was announced by no less than Steve Jobs during Apple’s “It’s Showtime!” media event, which was held on Sept. 12, 2006, a year before the introduction of the iPhone. Soon after, iTunes Movies was launched, although with only 75 films from Disney-owned studios.

A full 10 years later, and iTunes Movies is now home to more than 85,000 movies, according to Apple’s website. And in celebration of 10 years of iTunes Movies, Apple is going 10 for 10, so to speak, with six movie bundles, each comprising 10 movies from a major film studio, and each bundle priced at just $10 — $9.99, to be exact.

To access the bundles on your iOS device, open the iTunes app, go to the Movies tab, and tap any of the featured banners on the top carousel. Or simply go to http://iTunes.com/10thAnniversary on your iOS device or computer.
