The first day of spring in the northern hemisphere will be Sunday, March 20, 2016. We can now officially report that the following day, on Monday, March 21, Apple will hold its next spring media event from the company’s Town Hall auditorium located on its 1 Infinite Loop campus in Cupertino, California. The announcement was made by way of invitations that are now making their way to media outlets. Here’s what we’re expecting from Apple’s “Let us loop you in” event.

A new 4-inch iPhone

Apple will reinvigorate the 4-inch handset with a model we expect to be called the “iPhone SE.” Supposedly, the device will support Apple Pay and Live Photos, and boast the same A9 and M9 chips found in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. We expect you will be able to get the iPhone SE in silver, space gray, gold, or rose gold, with storage configurations of either 16GB or 64GB.

First, it was the iPhone 6c. Then, the iPhone 5se. Now, the iPhone SE.

A smaller iPad Pro

The other product we expect Apple to unveil on March 21 is a 9.7-inch version of the iPad Pro. We originally thought this tablet would be called the “iPad Air 3,” but more recent reports have pointed to the device being more akin to an iPad Pro, with four speakers and a Smart Connector.
