First up, Twitter is taking specific steps to step people who have previously been permanently banned from opening new accounts to abuse and harass. The exact way the social network is doing this wasn’t mentioned.

A “safe search” feature, currently in the pipeline, will remove any potentially sensitive content and Tweets from blocked and muted accounts from your search results. That content can be searched if you are specifically searching for it.

Rolling out in the coming weeks, Twitter has been creating a way to identify and de-emphasize “potentially abusive and low-quality replies.” That will bring more relevant conversations to the top of your feed. As you can see, those problematic replies will still be able to be seen if the user wants to.
