Malee game is one of the financial education tools provided by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Association, which was produced with the aim of enabling children and their families to gain the fundamental knowledge for financial decision making.

By mimicking real situations, players are exposed to virtual simulations enabling them to develop specific skills and competencies, and built the right attitudes when it comes to purchase planning, differentiating between needs and wants, setting priorities, promoting a culture of savings, appreciating charitable and voluntary actions, and identifying sources of income and spending.

The game is characterized by its flexibility, for instance, in addition to offering the possibility for the parents to participate and share guidance during the game by discussing financial matters with family members, it can also be played individually or in groups within schools or during recreational and cultural events.

In order to develop self-learning and cooperative skills, problem-solving and decision-making, the game was designed based upon behavioral economics factors and psychological principles, which promote achievement, engagement and motivation.
