卡五星，又称掐五星，起源于湖北地区，是一种三个人玩的麻将游戏，以胡牌时有46卡5胡牌时可翻倍得名。其特点是去掉一门玩子和东南西北风，剩下条子和筒子以及中发白共84张牌进行游戏，只能碰杠，不能吃。其牌型有，明杠、暗杠、杠上杠、碰碰胡、明四归一、暗四归一、七对、豪华七对、大三元、杠上开花、杠上炮、清一色、手抓一、亮倒、卡五星、一炮两响等。卡五星麻牌型丰富，将规则简单易懂，容易上手，牌型变化多，胡牌节奏快。
